We are proud of our reputation as a premiere retailer of bowed instruments. We believe that this is due to several factors: Our careful choice of makers and our relationships with them including regular visits to their workshops in Germany; our experience in selecting exactly the right models to suit our customers requirements; and the fact that our instruments are all either entirely refitted or adjusted by local instrument maker Bob Thornhill. Prior to sale, Bob usually fits them with new bridges and high-quality strings (such as Pirastro "Permanent") as well as re-fitting pegs, soundposts, and endpins.Players and teachers confirm that this attention to "set-up" is absolutely vital in order to get the best from your instrument.
