At the Music Gallery we have a range of instruments to suit string players of all standards, from absolute beginners to advanced musicians. We take great care to ensure all our instrument are in the best playing condition, fully set up by professional luthiers.
We offer a rental scheme for all of our entry level instruments size. Our highly trained staff can assist you with sizing and maintenance of your instrument.
We have a wide selection of bows in stock, both wooden and carbon fibre. Our staff are here to ensure that you choose the right bow to meet your requirements.
Accessories
As musicians ourselves we know that to get the most from your instrument it needs some care and attention from time to time to keep it in good playing condition. We stock many accessories from cleaners to humidifiers to ensure the best for your instrument.
To make life easier, we have many useful gadgets from metronomes and tuners to instrument stands and music stand lights.
We sell a wide variety instrumental cases; including hard wearing flight cases, extra light carbon fibre cases and padded gig bags.
We have vast choice of music stands; from multi-coloured and coloured collapsible music stands, to solid semi-collapsible orchestral stands, and hand carved solid wooden stands. Something to meet the requirements of any budding musician.
Guitars
We have an exciting range of Classical guitars to match most budgets including the Admira, Martinez and Hofner ranges.
We also have an attractive selection of Acoustic guitars. Please call to check availability, or drop in and have a play.
Sheet Music
We have an ever expanding and wide range of sheet music from standard repertoire to the weird and wonderful. We also hold many popular albums, and are able to offer a single sheet music printing service for thousands of titles whilst you wait in the key you want them in. A great service for vocalists.
We offer an express mail order service which can be accessed via the telephone, email or on our website, with books in stock being dispatched the same day and most other titles within a week.
If you cannot find the music you are looking for on our website, please email or telephone as we may still be able to order it for you. We are always happy to do a bit of extra searching to find the piece of music you are after, if it is available.

Take it away
We offer the Arts Council’s ‘Take it away’ scheme which allows 18-25 year olds to split the payment of an instrument over nine months with a 10% deposit payable on the day. ‘Take it away’ allows up to £2000 interest free finance.
ABRSM Exams
We are the ABRSM exam centre for Cambridge. The exams are held in our studio which is available to hire for £15 per hour, or £10 for half an hour, and allows pianists to practise on the grand piano that their exam will take place with. The exams are for five weeks at a time which coincides with the last five weeks of the school terms.
